Many of the University of Hull MBA graduates (locally supported in the Gulf by MDCI) will be looking forward to attending their graduation on the Thursday, 19th January 2017 at 2:00 PM – City Hall, Kingston upon Hull in the UK and possibly visiting the University’s main campus.
The City of Hull has recently been awarded the City of Culture 2017 and the city which is proud of its history and a bright future ahead.
Below is some further information which might help with choosing;
- From London Hull is 3 and half hours by car and by rail it’s
- From Manchester to Hull it’s a 1 hour and 45 minute train journey
- From Humberside Airport to Hull (20 – 30 minutes) by taxi
- KLM to Humberside (30 minutes away from Hull) and you can get a taxi or rent a car
- Etihad airways / Emirates Airlines / Qatar to Manchester – can get a train or use a hire car
- Gulf Air flies direct to London Heathrow – you can get a tube and then a train direct to Hull

Tickets for students who don’t have them can be collected from;
Student Administrative Services (Graduation)
Collect them from the Student Reception desk in the Mortimer Suite, City Hall, on the day of your ceremony.
Please note that guest tickets are non-transferable and cannot be passed on to friends. If you no longer require tickets, please return them to Student Administrative Services (Graduation) as soon as possible.

On the day of graduation (Thursday 19th January 2pm) and other useful information from the University
You’ll have to get your Cap and Gown before your graduation ceremony – be careful with ensuring you have enough time to be collecting these and get in place for the graduation ceremony. These items will also have to be returned once you have finished with them on the day.
Please note that the graduation will take place in Hull City Hall.
Below is some further helpful information;
Roberto Rice (+447832 688530 below) from MDCI will be outside of City Centre (Graduation hall) from 1pm.
Robing and photography is located in the Guildhall (pictured below) just a short distance from the City Hall.
Getting to the Guildhall
Getting your Robe and going to the graduation venue (10 minute walk – a leisurely one at that). When robed, please make your way to the Mortimer Suite at the City Hall and report to the Student Reception Desk to obtain your seat number for the ceremony. Once you have your seat number, make your way into the Main Hall.
Location of the graduation venue on Google maps;
You must be in your allocated seat at least 30 minutes before the start time as you will be given important instructions relating to the ceremony. If you arrive late, you risk not being admitted to the ceremony and your graduation is likely to be delayed to another ceremony.
Graduation Celebration Reception 2017
Hull University Business School is holding a celebration drinks reception for all those who are Business School graduands at the University’s Winter Degree Ceremonies on 19th January 2017.
The reception will be hosted by Professor Kathryn Haynes, Dean, and is an excellent way for graduates to commemorate their graduation and meet up with fellow graduates and their friends and families.

There are plenty of restaurants, takeaways and food shops. There are a number of Halal restaurants and takeaways in the City Centre and just outside.
